- Strongly recommended prior to applying for US Medical Residency
- Necessary to establish knowledge and understanding of US Medical practices

Importance
- Three (3) to Four (4) LoR(s) requested per speciality
- Plan 3-4 months prior to submission (suggested in June)
- LoR(s) may not be unassigned once they are assigned to a program on MyERAS

Patient Presentation
Importance
- Proper patient presentation is essential for communicating patient progress with the entire medical team and dictating the patient encounter wither on paper or electronic record
Professionalism
- Confirm appropriate attire (Scrubs, lab coat, etc)
- Arrive at or before the designated time
- Be mindful of the institutional rules and do not approach patients if you are instructed to avoid direct contact
